The Chief Minister has reiterated his decision to stay put at Rajahmundry until the Godavari Maha Pushkaram is over. The last date of the event is July 25, 2015. However, on July 26, 2015, CM will host a lunch for all those who worked for the Pushkaram. The CM began the day with a tele conference. During the conference, he spoke to all the people’s representatives and Ghat incharges and other officers who are in various positions working on Godavari Maha Pushkaram.
He instructed that the top priority be given to keep the Ghats clean, to provide drinking water and other facilities to the pilgrims and to avoid traffic congestion so people will go to the ghats and take a holy dip easily.
Till July 17, 2015 more than 60 Lakh pilgrims have visited East and West Godavari districts for the Pushkaram. In Rajahmundry alone over 35 lakh people took a holy dip.
